Monday through Thursday, Academic Enrichment offers experiential and Fun-Based learning, which may include classroom, outdoor activities, and very special events!

Campers spend the remainder of the day enjoying popular Day Camp activities and a swim lesson.

Fridays are reserved for special events, theme parties and activities.

Fun, effective, professional Swim Lessons are part of every Camper's experience at PBC.

Waves crash, tides roll, and the blue stretches as far as the eye can see. Beneath it all is another world! This session, campers will discover the amazing creatures and abundant life that inhabits our local waters, sandy shores, and tide pools. Learn about tides and how ocean currents affect our local climate. Identify various types of fish and their habitat.

What is a rock? How can different rocks be indentified? What is a fossil? How are fossils formed? How can fossils be used to identify extinct plants and animals? Campers enjoy hands-on experiments that include a rock hunt using rock hammers, looking at crystal formations, examining a large variety of fossils, and participating in a fossil dig. 

Explore galaxies of stars and constellations as you become intrepid explorers of the universe. Learn about constellations seen in North America and hear stoires told by ancient star watchers. Star Cards help campers recognize the shapes and names of the most visible constellations. We'll make our own Star Finder and learn how to read the sky! Join us for two weeks of imagination, exploration and Fun!

Get ready to live a bug's life. Go beyond the fascination and explore insects and other arthropods. Can they see? Can they hear? What do they eat? Do they sleep? This exciting program will answer these questions and many more. Go on exciting tracking hunts, find traces of visitors, and work on special projects to take home. This is a must for every bug lover!
