Our staff is made up of teachers, college students, and certified swim instructors.

Applicants are chosen based on their character, skills, and ability to understand and relate to children. Following a complete background examination, staff persons attend training sessions that cover:

  • Child safety
  • PBC philosophy
  • Policies
  • Fun-Based teaching methods
  • Activity instruction
  • Conflict resolution
  • The expected outcome for each camper

All staff persons are certified in CPR and First Aid.

All drivers have received additional training and qualify for a DMV Class B drivers license.

Our swim staff members are certified by the American Red Cross and have been trained in our method of instruction.
